The G8 GXP was unveiled at the NYC Auto Show this past year and is expected to be available for purchase around the end of 2008 as a 2009 model. We have already been made aware of the official G8 GXP colors and we know that the 2009 G8 GT will not be offered with the 6 speed Tremec tranny, but the G8 GXP will.
While our sources tell us that the official GXP production has not yet begun, we have some spy shots of a pre-pro G8 GXP that were snapped from a member of the Australian LS1 & Holden Forums.
It’s nice to see the aggressively styled rear diffuser, Brembo brakes and GXP wheels still alive at this stage of the game.

I’m on the fence about the wheels. I think they’ll look better polished.

Can someone please assure me that the pathetic wheels on this car will not replace the awesome polished aluminum wheels on the show car for the production model GXP?

I agree. Polished is way better. Why does pontiac insist on screwing things up with plastic junk? ie the plastic lugnut covers that were on my 1984 Trans Am have reappeared on this car. Those wheels will be off before I leave the dealership.

A car as great as the G8 GXP deserves better rims than those Mazda-6 take offs. The 19’s that come with the sport package on the GT look better than those. Hopefully they are just keeping the production GXP rims a secret.
