On the eve of Independence Day, Edmunds InsideLine thinks it would be a hoot to check out their long term test drive garage and see which of their whips is more American than apple pie.

Despite its Australian roots, and rightfully so, they have include the 2008 Pontiac G8 GT as one of the candidates for the most American car.  The G8 is in some pretty patriotic company including:

• Dodge Caravan
• Ford Edge
• Ford Focus
• Ford GT
• Saturn Aura
