As G8Nation reported yesterday, Speed TV had their premier showing of the Pontiac G8 GT test drive tonight at 7:00 PM EST.
There was a list of impressive guests on this show including 4-time Trans AM Champ Tommy Kendall, Rapper and car fanatic 50 Cent, funny man Adam Carolla and cameo appearances by 50 Cent’s custom Pontiac G8 GT and the Pontiac G8 GT Daytona Pace car.
Tommy Kendall raved about the Pontiac G8 GT and did not hesitate to point out its superiority to some of the most impressive sport sedans on the market today. He noted that the G8 GT is more powerful than the Infiniti M45, has a faster 0-60 time than the BMW 550i and more torque than the BMW M5. Those are extremely impressive facts.
50 Cent weighed in as he pushed the G8 GT to the limits in Phoenix Arizona. This man can drive! Again, another review of the Pontiac G8 GT and not one bad thing to say…just and a full arsenal of accolades.
Next up was Adam Carolla in California playing Chase with Tommy Kendall in the desert just north of Los Angeles and then around Willow Springs International Speedway. Carolla drove an ignition orange G8 and Kendall the panther black G8.
Watching these two guys drive the G8s as hard as they did, really made us appreciate the suspension and power of the Pontiac G8 GT…especially when Tommy Kendall performed a power drift through turn 3 of Willow Springs.
In the interest of full disclosure, the DVR died this afternoon. In order to not let our readers down, we improvised and used a video camera to record segments from the TV. Not the nicest vids…but at least its something to hold us over for now.
