Four new colros revealed for the 2009 Pontiac G8

The GM Ordering Guide has been updated to include 2009 Pontiac G8 information. It will take a while to peruse the entire document to compare 2008 to 2009. In the mean time, I can tell you that there are a total of 8 colors slated to be available in 2009 and two new features.

Four of the 2008 colors remain:

  • White Hot (11U)
  • Magnetic Gray Metallic (18U)
  • Liquid Red (62U)
  • Panther Black Metallic (80U)

There will be a total of 8 colors available. The four new colors are:

  • Maverick Silver Metallic (17U)
  • Sport Red Metallic (26U)
  • Stryker Blue Metallic (39U)
  • Pacific Slate Metallic (64U)

For those of you who don’t have color codes burned into their memory, these updates indicate that the following 2008 colors did not make the cuts for 2009:

  • Stealth Blue Metallic (25U)
  • Ignition Orange Metallic (77U)

In addition to the new colors, XM (U2K) will be standard equipment on the V6 & the GT. Additionally, Bluetooth for phone, personal cell phone connectivity to vehicle audio system and HMI (Human Machine Interface) (standard on all models) (UWE).

I know what you’re all wondering, so I’ll tell you now. The only 2 models that are being shown for the G8 are the G8 Sedan (2ER69) and the G8 GT Sedan (2EC69)
